February Advisory Board

We have set the agenda for our next Advisory Board meeting on the 14th of February and our members are in for a treat.

Here at Beautiful Schools, we are committed to listening to our members and providing them with information and support that they require. One of the common themes emerging from our members is filming. How can Schools attract film companies? How does a school go about securing this type of booking and what does hosting a film entail?

In order to answer these questions, we have asked a film location expert to come and present at our next advisory board meeting. Eugene Strange is a partner at Salt Films, which has over 20 years experience in scouting and facilitating locations for feature films, TV commercials and music videos and of producing events and photographic shoots.

Alongside Eugene, we will hear from Lauren Williamson of Harrow School. Harrow has been the backdrop for many different filming and photography shoots including favourites such as The Crown and Harry Potter. This will allow our board to have a view of the filming world from both perspectives.

We will also be presenting some detailed research the Beautiful Schools team has undertaken into understanding the venue hiring market and where schools stand in relation to venues that surround them, i.e hotels and conference venues.

It’s shaping up to be a great meeting and we are looking forward to seeing our members at Dulwich on the 14th.
